Information we collect
- Account information: email address, account identifier, display name, and authentication information. Our authentication provider handles passwords; we do not display your password to league members.
- Profile and game activity: favorite team, avatar selection or uploaded profile photo, preferences, league membership and roles, invitations, picks, results, streaks, home-run totals, weekly entries, achievements, and moderation records.
- Content and communications: league names and uploaded league photos, plus messages you send to support.
- Technical information: our hosting, authentication, and email providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, security logs, sign-in activity, and email delivery information.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts and leagues, save and score picks, display standings and achievements, deliver account confirmation and password-reset messages, answer support requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or currently use it for targeted advertising. The site currently carries no ads.
What other people can see
Members of your leagues can see your display name, profile presentation, league activity, and game results. Picks and weekly selections are shown according to the game’s reveal and lock rules. We do not show your account email to other league members. League owners can manage membership and invitations. Anyone with a working invite code may be able to join, so share invitations carefully. Members can take screenshots or share downloaded scorecards; we cannot control copies they share elsewhere.
Service providers and other disclosures
We use Supabase for authentication, Resend for automated email, OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure (including Cloudflare) for the website, database, and photo storage, and SiteGround for our support mailbox and domain services. These providers process information needed to supply their services. Baseball data and player images come from external sources; loading an externally hosted image can disclose your IP address and browser information to its host.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or carry out a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. We do not give league members access to support correspondence.
Cookies and browser storage
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage for features such as preferences, pending invitations, and account notices. Blocking or clearing these can sign you out or reset preferences. We have not added advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics to the application. Infrastructure providers may process technical data for their services. We do not change our practices in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Retention and the offseason
We keep account and game information while it is needed to provide your account and season history, support the service, and meet legitimate security or legal needs. An offseason alone is not a reason to delete your account. Accounts may be manually reviewed after at least 24 months of inactivity. Before closing an account for inactivity, we will email at least 30 days’ notice; signing in or contacting support within that period will stop that closure. This is a review policy, not an automatic deletion schedule.
After a verified deletion request, we remove or de-identify information associated with your account from the active service, subject to limited records needed for legal compliance, security, or resolving disputes. Provider backups and logs may remain until their normal retention cycles expire. Copies other members have saved are outside our control.
Your choices and requests
You can change supported profile settings in your account. To request access, correction, or deletion, write to support@hitstreakclub.com, preferably from your account email. Support will contact you to verify ownership and confirm completion. Do not send your password. If you own a league, we will discuss transferring or closing it as part of your request. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply; contact us to exercise them. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.
Adults only
Hit Streak Club is for people aged 18 and older. Signup requires an age confirmation, not identity-document verification. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe someone under 18 has registered, contact support so we can investigate and remove the account as appropriate.
Security and international processing
We use access controls and secure connections to help protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, whose privacy laws can differ from those where you live.
Policy updates
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice of material changes through the site or email when appropriate or required. If we introduce advertising, payments, or materially different data uses, we will explain them before they take effect and obtain consent where required.
